Often we are so consumed with embracing everything that separate’s us from one another and makes us unique. I am all for uniqueness and how we all have our specialties but I wonder what the world would be like if we celebrated what unites us instead. We all suffer, we are all trying to do the best we can where we are. The division begins when we start comparing ourselves or deciding that we are right and someone else is wrong. I am making an effort to stay united with the people in my life by paying extra attention when I fall into division. I HOPE I can recognize when I am being divisive and instead choose to accept others whole heartedly and stay united.
Walk a mile with someone who believes differently from you.
The world will know peace when you can stand for them too.
“Treat yourself” quite possibly, one of my favorite things about the tv show, Parks and Rec. What would it be like to just ride around town treating yourself, all day? I believe in living my passions. I need to treat everyday like everyday is my day to live my truth. That is treating myself. I HOPE you agree? Please treat yourself with this beautiful scene, from one of my husbands fishing fly fishing trips.
So, the topic of grace has filled my mind all day. Finding it in the smallest of things like spring flowers pushing up out of the earth. I feel so blessed. HOPE abounds in the light of grace. You really can find it when your eyes are open everywhere you look. Hidden in plain sight. When it eludes me on my darker days I am reminded in something small, like a song on the radio or a memory or my child’s face. I think if we remembered to give one another a little grace more often this world would be a little better. I am reminded of visiting the beach with my family and how the waves wash away the little pictures we draw in the sand. This creates a fresh surface to create anew, the grace of a clean slate. My dear friend just gave me a beautiful shamrock as a symbol of our friendship and to remind me of the HOPE, faith, love and luck we share. I want to share it with you and HOPE it brings you a little grace.
I am a blogging mom of three with a passion for wearing my HOPE coat! This blog is my opportunity to, “Be the change I wish to see in the world”-Ghandi. I am leaping toward my passions and throwing myself into the world of vulnerability, criticism and potential failure. I know I will get better at this with patience, practice and persistence. I would like to believe that I am a lifelong learner. I welcome and embrace change, creativity, empathy and unity. More recently my time at work has become more difficult leading me to ask myself some tough questions about what my real priorities are in life. I have started to narrow it down and to recognize that blogging gives me the opportunity to cut back at work and spend more time with my family. It’s also an outlet for sharing my creativity and passions with others. I HOPE you will stay tuned for the journey.
